Emphasis and Focal Point

This week we were to find and share examples of emphasis and focal point.  Here are the examples I found.

Contrast
http://fineartamerica.com/contests/color-isolation.html
This can be an example of contrast because everything is black and white accept the two leaves that are in color.  The colored leaves become the focal point of this image.
 Isolation
http://elementsofdesign1.blogspot.com
This is an example of isolation because there is a single green circle tucked down in the bottom right corner away from the larger group of green circles up in the top left.

 Placement
http://designlab.lovejoydesigns.net/2009/12/02/18/
This is a good example of placement.  Here you can see  that the flower is placed right in the middle of this image which make it the focal point.  It's also larger than all other things here too.
One Element
http://2ddesignart.blogspot.com/2011/02/
This image shows one element.  When looking at it you'll notice the Atheist sign taking over the O in the word Losers.  It draws the attention away from the total image making it the focal point.

Absence of Focal Point

This image has no focal point.  Everything looks the same and doesn't draw the eye to one certain spot..
